From Verbal Periphrases to Complex Predicates

چکیده

This volume, which can be considered as a follow-up publication to Pusch & Wesch (2003), contains ten studies on verbal periphrases in wide array of Romance languages, both synchronic and historic perspective. Thus, this collective volume addresses the periphrastic system whole. The aim contributions is twofold: one hand, authors intend enrich knowledge about inventory descriptive analytical terms. On other seeks provide new insights for study grammatical, pragmatic, cognitive foundations periphrases, order enlarge our comprehension their genesis, evolution usage. Languages treated include Catalan, (European) French, Friulian, Portuguese, Romanian, Spanish, Catalan Sign Language (LSC).
